Your Files Are Never Stored

Xomb processes all files ephemerally. When you upload a file, it is processed in memory or in a temporary directory that is automatically deleted immediately after your download completes — or within 15 minutes at most. We have no file storage infrastructure because we don't need one. Your files are yours and yours alone.

What We Collect

We collect minimal, anonymized usage analytics to improve our tools:

• Tool usage: Which tool was used, file size (input/output), processing time, and file format. This helps us optimize performance.
• IP hash: A one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address for rate limiting. We cannot reverse this hash to determine your actual IP address.
• Basic browser info: User agent string and approximate country (derived from IP, not stored with IP).

We use PostHog for page view analytics and Sentry for error tracking. Both are configured to minimize data collection.

What We Don't Collect

• We do not store your files — ever.
• We do not read, analyze, or index the content of your files.
• We do not use cookies for tracking (only essential session cookies).
• We do not sell any data to third parties.

Pro Accounts

If you create a Pro account, we store your email address and Stripe customer ID for billing purposes. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your payment card details.

Data Retention

Anonymized usage logs are retained for 90 days for performance analysis, then automatically purged. Pro account data is retained while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of account closure.
